LCSW, has extensive personal and professional experience with addiction. He received his BA in Political Science from Rutgers University and an MS in Social Work from Columbia University. Jarad has been a social worker for over 15 years and has been in the field for close to 20 years. In addition to working with people who use drugs, Jarad has worked with Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, and Queer (LGBTQ) communities, people affected by HIV and Hepatitis C, people living with mental illness, and sex workers. Most recently, Jarad worked for the Utah Harm Reduction Coalition and the national Harm Reduction Coalition in New York City. He is a recent transplant to Utah from New York, having been born in Brooklyn and raised in New Jersey, with deep Utah roots. Jarad enjoys music, art, the outdoors, and hanging out with his nephew in his free time.
